Michigan Grand Golf Trail
Northwest of Detroit, five golf courses sit so close to each other and deliver such quality golf that they may very well define the concept of a golf trail. Travelers can, for example, easily spend their evenings in any of various accommodations offered at one location, then hit all five courses along the Michigan Grand Golf Trail while never having to change rooms, or they can easily travel among the locations.
Boulder Pointe, which was built on a defunct gravel mine, features 15 lakes and is the only semi-private course on the trail. Brentwood's nines differ dramatically, Mystic Creek serves up 27 holes, Timber Trace plays through tall stands of pines and hardwoods and Whispering Pines lets nature shine throughout its routing. In other words, this trail is manageable and worthy of being experienced.
