Golf Course Review: Antioch Hills Golf Club
No longer a favorite
We have been stopping at this course for years on our way up North for a fall getaway. We have always enjoyed stopping here. The course has always accommodated our group. By the time we arrive they have no problem getting us on the course. This year we arrive with 5 golfers. We all know that this is not normally accepted. In the past we were allowed to play as a fivesome as long as we didn't hold anyone up. So when we arrived and the owner "Walt" joked around with us and us with him. The fivesome was mentioned and we were under the impression that he was joking with us about not playing together. Also when we arrived at 11:30 a.m. there were about 6 cars in the lot and no one in sight. We played up to the 11th hole without seeing anyone. A single member came up on us and we allowed him to play through immediately. Well he called "Walt" and complained. Walt came out and was extremely rude with us. It was not a pleasant experience and we will never stop here again. We proceeded to Garland Resort were people told us that they were even allowing up to 8 golfers to go out together! This is a higher scale course!
Based on my experience: I would not play the course again.
