Ferris State University's Katke Golf Course ranks among the finest University owned golf courses in the United States. Sitting atop the highest point in Mecosta County, Katke Golf Course overlooks the scenic West Michigan landscape, where a sunrise and a sunset can be seen every single day.

A traditional style golf course designed by Robert Beard, Katke Golf Course opened for public play in 1974. With a blend of links style and tree lined holes, golfers will play from a variety conditions provided by the rolling landscape.

Katke is one of the finest golf learning facilities in the Midwest, with twenty-one holes of championship golf and an award winning practice range, golfers of all abilities can improve their game. With five sets of tees, Katke lends itself to golfers of all abilities. Those seeking more of a challenge can tee it up from the Championship tees which extend over 6,900 yards, as a par 72. Golfers looking to Tee It Forward for a quality experience also have options. The Crimson tee measures 6,377 yards, Silver 5,830 yards, Gold 4,845 yards and for newer golfers looking for their own special set of tees, the D.O.G. Tee provides just the right length at 2,354 yards.

Katke has been recognized winning multiple awards including the TOP 100 Golf Course & Learning Center by Golf Range Magazine and the Mecosta Country Peoples' Choice Award for Favorite Golf Range and Golf Course in the Area. Katke is the host course for the FSU Bulldog Men's and Women's Golf Teams as well as the host site for GILAC Golf Championships and MHSAA State Golf Championships.
