In this role, Schlump will oversee the entire business and operations for the facility and lead the team in delivering an exceptional guest experience at The Woodlands Course.
"I am very excited to bring an industry veteran and long-time Michigan resident to lead the Schulze family's vision for The Woodlands Course at Whittaker," said Vince Juarez, regional operations executive for KemperSports. "Josh's extensive knowledge of the golf industry and the Harbor Country community make him an excellent fit to lead one of the finest public golf experiences in Michigan."
Most recently, Schlump was employed by Forest Dunes Golf Club in Roscommon, Michigan. Previously, Schlump held key roles at Ann Arbor Golf and Outing Club and Cedar Chase Golf Club in Cedar Springs, Michigan. "I am excited to continue to elevate the service and guest offerings at The Woodlands Course for players of all ages and skill levels," Schlump said. "In addition to the wonderful Ken Killian-designed golf course, our historic clubhouse, pavilion and scenic views provide a great environment for events like music on the patio, craft beer dinners, game nights on the lawn and other social gatherings to bring families and the community together for fun and entertainment."
The Woodlands Course at Whittaker is set amidst 400 acres in the heart of Southwest Michigan's Harbor Country in New Buffalo, just minutes from I-94 and less than one hour from Chicago.
